Wisconsin Rises in ‘Best States’ Ranking

The state of Wisconsin was recently recognized for its overall quality of life by U.S. News and World Report in the publication’s second-annual “Best States” list. Wisconsin ranked as the 11th best state in the U.S. Improving from 16th in last year and outranking states like New York 25th, and Illinois 35th.  The quality of life category was added to the U.S.

Stonehouse Water Technologies LLC, a growing Milwaukee startup, recently announced it raised $1.55 million in funding to support its water purification product line. Stonehouse, founded in 2012, is developing a water purification system to be launched commercially in the spring.

Foxconn to Build New Plant in Southeastern Wisconsin

Recently Chairman Terry Gou of Foxconn Technology Group (Hon Hai Precision Industry Group Ltd.) visited Milwaukee, Wisconsin to sign a memorandum of understanding and commit his Taiwan-based electronics manufacturing company to invest billions of dollars in the state.  Foxconn plans to invest $10 billion in Wisconsin by 2020.
