JW Marriott Anaheim Construction Update

Friday, February 8, 2019 - A recent Field Report shared an update on the progress of the construction on the JW Marriott in Anaheim, California.  According to the Report, W.E. O’Neil Construction Co. of California is moving construction along on the JW Marriott and is nearing 40% complete and continues to be generally on schedule with substantial completion in January 2020.

The report highlights:

Installation of the suspended concrete slabs is complete through the 10th floor. Installation of the 10th-floor slab reinforcing is generally complete along the south side and in progress along the west side of the slab. We are nearing the end of vertical construction.  Installation of the exterior sheathing, wall, and window flashings is in progress from the 3rd through the 6th floor. The layout of the framing is generally complete from the 1st floor through 5th floor and in progress at the 6th floor.

Dan Wycklendt, Executive Vice President of FirstPathway Partners visited the site to perform a lender inspection last week and was impressed with the progress.  “I haven’t been more excited or amazed with the progress of one of our EB-5 projects as I have been with the JW Marriott in Anaheim,” stated Wycklendt. “We have a lot of great people and teams working hard to make this EB-5 project a huge success,” he added.

The JW Marriott in Anaheim is planned to be an 11-story luxury hotel with 466 rooms and will be the ONLY 4-diamond rated hotel outside of Disneyland Park. The hotel has been called one of the best and most exciting EB-5 projects currently under construction with both I-924 and I-526 approval.
