Global Water Center’s Council Expands with Startups

On Friday July 21st The Water Council, announced the latest round of water-technology startups chosen to participate in its accelerator program in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The group brings together large and established water engineering companies, and encourages university-driven water research and grants. It began as a Milwaukee-centric economic development program but evolved into an internationally active organization. Each year, the winners receive up to a $50,000 equity investment; work space and labs in the Global Water Center facility in Milwaukee. The new startups help innovators and entrepreneurs generate investment and growth in the water-driven economy. For the last five years the Water Council has selected startup applicants based on their potential to develop and commercialize technologies that monitor or treat water. The Global Water Center, home of The Water Council, is a FirstPathway Partners project that continues to expand its reach around the globe. We enjoy sharing these successes and are confident in the Center’s bright future.
