Water Technology Conference Commences in China

This week, a delegation of representatives from The Water Council, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) and Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) is lending its expertise to China.

The Water Council and WEDC will be hosting conferences titled “One Water, One World: The U.S.-China Conference on Water and Sponge Cities” in Nanjing and Beijing. The delegation will be showing off Wisconsin’s water technology capabilities and spreading the message that it can help address the country’s water challenges. Some of these challenges include making improvements to China's infrastructure, water retention and drainage, as well as natural purification and infiltration in 30 of China’s largest cities.

Following the Water Council’s visit, a delegation of representatives from the Beijing Water Authority will come to Milwaukee on December 7th to tour FirstPathway Partners’ Global Water Center, a recent I-829 approved project, and other water-centric sites.
