USCIS Updates IPO Page

In an effort to be more transparent and accurate U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) recently began using a new method of reporting processing times. Rather than using a single date as previously done, USCIS will now show a range of times. The updated Immigrant Investor Program Office (IPO) page now shows a drop-down menu where visitors may select the desired form and are shown the range of dates. The low end of the range reflects how long USCIS has taken in recent weeks to complete 50 percent of cases. The high end shows users how long the agency is taking to complete 93 percent of cases, according to USCIS documents. USCIS hopes the changes will help make its website easier to interpret and read and reduce service requests so that agency officials can focus on adjudicating petitions.
