USCIS Green Card Processing Times

Earlier this month U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) released a report by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Inspector General on Green Card processing times. The report concluded the “USCIS has unclear website information and unrealistic time goals for adjudicating green card applications.”USCIS has an expressed goal of adjudication of an application in 120 days. However, since 2011 “the overall average number of days it takes to complete applications has risen to more than twice the goal” and processing times are now taking an average of 282 days.USCIS has agreed with the findings and is working to take “corrective actions” on the matter.You can view the full report here.
