Top Travel Magazine Puts Milwaukee in the Spotlight

Recently Condé Nast Traveler, a widely circulated high end travel news source, ranked the city of Milwaukee 2nd on its list of “6 U.S. Cities to Watch.” The multi-paged article listed qualities like the award winning restaurants, cultural festivals, and exquisite museums that make Milwaukee a unique and exciting city. Most importantly the article mentioned the welcome addition of the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel as well as the importance of Lake Michigan and surrounding river ways. These mentions are significant because of the catalytic effect the EB-5 program and FirstPathway Partners has had on the city of Milwaukee.  The Kimpton Journeyman Hotel, a recent FirstPathway Partners and EB-5 project is quickly becoming a favorite in the city and attracts guest from all over the country and the world. Guests are warmly welcomed by staff and can take advantage of its rooftop bar and Zagat rated restaurant. The Journeyman has also been well received by Milwaukee residents as it creates new job opportunities, and provides a space for people from near and far to build community.  The article also mentions the significance of Lake Michigan, and the river ways through the city - calling it a “water city in the middle of the country.” It’s no secret that access to clean water plays a large role in not only the city of Milwaukee but around the world. Fortunately, the Water Council, another exciting FirstPathway Partner’s project, has made it possible to preserve our resources through groundbreaking research and innovative ideas.  It is important to note that EB-5 is not just benefitting Milwaukee; it is benefitting the whole country. The Department of Commerce reported that in 2012 and 2013 the EB-5 program created 174,000 jobs. By 2016 that number jumped to over 800,000 new jobs or 8.2% of job growth. There are many great opportunities for economic growth in the U.S. and here in Milwaukee. FirstPathway Partners is honored to be a catalyst of positive growth and development.
