The downtown Milwaukee region has seen a surge in hotel development in recent years. One hotel, however, FirstPathway Partners project, Milwaukee Marriott Downtown, continues to stand out in the crowd.
OnMilwaukee Social Media Editor, Carolynne Buser, writes, "with more and more new downtown lodging options built every day, how is the Marriott – albeit a…new one – worthy of your hard-earned dollars? By simply doing all the right things right."
"The hotel is nestled on the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Milwaukee Street and serves as a central destination within walking distance to all the downtown happenings. While the resurgence in downtown dining... shouldn't be ignored, the Marriott's restaurant, Millioke, is not one to overlook.
"Millioke is home to one of the best happy hours downtown. There is $4 beer, and many wine and rail cocktail specials. Add the $5 appetizer specials and you are bound to have a truly happy hour. We sampled the flatbread pizzas, pretzel bites with cheese dip and hummus options and the standout was the pulled pork pizza. The pork is smoked in-house and the flavor was downright delicious."
Opened in 2013, the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown boasts 205 guest rooms, a business center, 9,000 square feet of meeting and event space, ball rooms, fitness center, pool, and concierge. Guest rooms are outfitted with stylish décor, luxurious bedding, and flat screen TVs. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of East Town Milwaukee, within walking distance to the Historic Third Ward district, the shores of Lake Michigan, and the popular Milwaukee Riverwalk.
