On Tuesday, October 27th, FirstPathway Partners joined CD Smith and HKS Holdings to celebrate the final beam placement of the Kimpton Milwaukee.
Located on the northeast corner of Chicago and Broadway in the city's historic Third Ward, the new nine-story property will feature 158 guest rooms and a destination restaurant on the ground floor, along with a fitness center and an expansive rooftop bar and lounge area. The new hotel will feature more than 7,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
The new Kimpton Milwaukee is the first upscale boutique hotel in the city's vibrant Third Ward. Originally an industrial and warehouse district in the late 1800s, the area is now home to Milwaukee's emerging art and fashion scene, boasting numerous art galleries and studios, as well as the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design and the Art Institute. The neighborhood is also known for the Milwaukee Riverwalk, which connects Third Ward with Downtown Milwaukee.
City and community leaders, executives from FirstPathway Partners, and representatives from construction partners provided a brief program and photo opportunity as the final beam placement was celebrated.
