EB-5 Applications Steadily on the Rise

The number of EB-5 applications has been on the rise. As of February 2, 2015, USCIS has approved nearly 630 Regional Centers. EB-5 visa applications have similarly increased, with the cap having been reached for the first time in 2014 with 10,923 petitions. USCIS approved 4,925 petitions, with over 12,000 pending. With the highest share of EB-5 visas in fiscal year 2014, China topped out at 10,692 visas issued, or about 85.4%. The next 5 countries receiving EB-5 visas include South Korea (2.1 percent), Mexico (1.2 percent), China Taiwan born (1.2 percent), Vietnam (1.1 percent), and Russia (0.9 percent), together comprising 6.5 percent of all EB-5 visas.
