Chicago Business Journal Features Kimpton Hotel Milwaukee

The business journal notes Kimpton's reputation for running "well-regarded" restaurants, particularly at the four hotels within the city.

"Terhune was a key part of Kimpton's success on the restaurant front in Chicago for nearly 20 years. She arrived in the city in 1997 as pastry chef at 312, the restaurant that continues to be a fixture in Kimpton's Allegro Hotel.

After proving herself in that role, Terhune got her first big break in 1999, when Kimpton tapped her to open its Atwood Restaurant in the Burnham Hotel Chicago. She would hold that top post for 10 years, during which time she was repeatedly spotlighted in the media for her cooking prowess and creativity.

Kimpton obviously continued to believe in her, subsequently giving her the nod to oversee the debut of the Sable Kitchen & Bar in the Palomar Hotel Chicago, a four-star property in the River North neighborhood that opened in 2010. The Palomar was the first Kimpton property to be built new from the ground up in Chicago."

Terhune is excited to return to the Midwest, where she will deliver tasty and unique dishes at Tre Rivali, Kimpton Milwaukee's newest restaurant, which offers modern American and Mediterranean fare.
