On November 16th, BMO Harris Bank and award-winning developer Irgens gathered with dozens of enthusiastic individuals in Downtown Milwaukee to witness the groundbreaking of the bank’s new 25-story, $132.6 million tower. With the help of EB-5 funds from FirstPathway Partners, Irgens will construct the BMO Harris tower at the bank’s long-time address on North Water Street. Dave Casper, BMO Harris Bank CEO, said: “to be able to stay on Water Street and to stay so close to where we are and have such a great developer do this for us, we couldn’t be more excited.” Casper credited the developer for coming up with the idea as a way to keep the bank’s headquarters downtown.Since the partnership was announced in December of 2016 the project has generated a lot of attention and has received an exceptional amount of praise from Milwaukee’s Mayor Tom Barrett. During the ceremony, Mayor Barrett said: “It’s a great addition to the remarkable renaissance that’s going on in the heart of our city.”FirstPathway Partners is excited and honored to be a part of this historic development. We know Irgens’ outstanding reputation and BMO Harris Bank’s commitment to the city are a catalyst for a successful partnership.
