Kraft Attends Milwaukee Night in Washington D.C.

Hosted by MMAC President Tim Sheehy, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, and Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele, the event highlighted the contributions of the Milwaukee area to the economic strength and vitality of the nation as a whole.

U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan spoke at the event in support of the EB-5 program with reasonable reforms. He acknowledged the impact the Program has had on the state of Wisconsin.

In fact, the impact of EB-5 in Wisconsin has been staggering. Over the past 4 years, nearly 2,200 jobs have been supported, contributing to local GDP, and adding $12 million in state and local tax revenue. This has been accomplished with the success of $175 million in investment and counting. That number is expected to reach between $175 - 200 million after the Federal FY ending September 30.

"Our goal for the event is simple, thank the delegation and staff for the work they do on behalf of our community and economy in metro Milwaukee and welcome new and veteran D.C staff and make better connections for all," said Sheehy.

Senator Ron Johnson, Representative Glenn Grothman, Representative Gwen Moore, Congressman James Sensenbrenner Jr., and Senator Tammy Baldwin joined hundreds of Milwaukee-area businesses for a successful evening of networking.
