The Global Water Center was recently featured on Flow Control when it teamed up with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to establish a global, but local freshwater seed accelerator program. The program has been dubbed "The BREW" (Business, Research, and Entrepreneurship in Wisconsin), a nod at Wisconsin's rich brewer history and an acronym for the up and coming program.
The BREW's mission is simple: provide an incubator for water technology startups, helping to grow the global water hub and create opportunity in the water industry. Their website also explains some of their other areas of focus:

Disrupting the Status Quo
- Disrupt the status quo by working to educate, incent, revise structure, change the will of people and finally to drive new behaviors. This is a challenge for all of us in the water industry and we need to be deliberate in our approach.
There have been a number of tenants in the Center and Elizabeth Thelen, Director of Entrepreneurship and Talent, says applications to The Brew have doubled after its first year. She attributes the growth to the awareness and exposure of The Global Water Center.
