Dan Redford, Director -China

Dan Redford is the Director of Operations in China.  He is a fluent Mandarin speaker, studying in China at both Nankai University in Tianjin, and Shanghai University. In 2010, Dan represented the United States as an ambassador to the Shanghai World Expo. During that time, he was internationally recognized for his journalistic work to promote the Expo’s mission of “Better City, Better Life,” along with strengthened Sino-American relations. He was published in Dome Magazine, the Huffington Post, the Shanghai Daily, and the Jerusalem Post. Dan also served as a representative to the 2011 Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Dan is extremely passionate about building strong economic and cultural ties between the U.S. and China. In 2010, he worked with the Gillespie Group (East Lansing, MI) to create an initiative called the “U.S. – China Creative Space” to connect Chinese students at his alma mater, Michigan State University, to their surrounding community.

Dan graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in International Relations and Mandarin Chinese.
